Our Firm

Sarna & Associates, PC was founded in 1996 in when James decided to work more closely with "real people" instead of large corporations.  It was also important for James to be able to spend time with his young family and working with clients who feel the same way about community and social issues. 
 

Since moving his office to Nyack in 2002, James has continued to serve clients from all over the United States and around the globe, leveraging technology and modern communications to provide cost effective, efficient, and top-notch professional legal counsel to clients ranging from toy inventors to investment banks, trucking companies to independent journalists, jewelry designers to physicians.

 

Since 1990, James has worked on some of the most complex bankruptcies conducted in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and has played an important part in cases that have been filed in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania as well.

 

James uses his experience working with restructuring clients to enhance his ability to advise corporate clients and entrepreneurs, and this experience carries over to individual clients who are faced with unexpected litigation challenges, or who are buying or selling real estate, or who have tax concerns or financial restructuring requirements.

 

At Sarna & Associates, PC, we don't believe in litigation to prove a point or in playing the "negotiation game."  That's great for lawyers, but not for clients.  Instead, we are honest with our clients about the strengths and weaknesses of their offense and defense, taking into consideration the hundreds of cases with which we have been involved over the years.  You can expect honesty and a commitment to success from us, and we are not satisfied unless you are.

 

The firm staffs its matters as leanly as possible, using the most current electronic records keeping protocols, specialized online databases and research options, and paralegals and experienced attorneys for specific projects as required, rather than maintaining the overhead that many firms carry, and are therefore compelled to pass on to their clients.

 

Let's face it, oftentimes a decision about which counsel to choose comes down to how much it will cost.  While there are other firms that will surely be less or more expensive than Sarna & Associates, PC, we believe that our best selling point is the value you get for your money.  You get everything you need, and only pay for what you get.
